Nala Renewables begins construction of 50MW/100MWh BESS storage project in Finland with Sungrow and KSBR
Download 2023 Sustainability ReportDownload 2023 Sustainability Report (Español)London, 11 November 2025 - Nala Renewables, a global power and renewable energy platform and independent power producer, has begun the construction of a 50MW/100MWh Battery Energy Storage System(BESS) project located in Kauhava, Finland.

Societe Generale is providing the long-term finance for the project which is being delivered by Sungrow and KSBR.
Sungrow, a global leader in renewable energy technology, will supply twenty-two 5MWh units of its award-winning PowerTitan 2.0 BESS for this project.
The project is expected to commence operations by the end of 2026.
Once complete, Trafigura, a market leader in the global commodities industry, will utilise the BESS capacity for its European trading activities. Nala is a joint venture between Trafigura and funds managed by IFM Investors.
